Whether you’re just starting out, or starting on your hundredth painting, Watercolor Wednesdays are here to help you infuse a little bit of color into your weekday.

Gaspee Days

Did you know that the first battle of the American Revolution happened right here in Warwick? In June 1772, colonists from Rhode Island burned down the British revenue schooner, the HMS Gaspee, in what is now recognized as the first act of bloodshed of the American Revolution. Since then, the Gaspee Days Committee has worked tirelessly to honor and commemorate this historic event with plenty of celebrations leading up to the annual burning of the Gaspee — or at least, a re-enactment of it, of course! Usually held in historic Pawtuxet Village, these events vary from an arts and crafts festival, a fireworks show, a 5k foot race, and a Gaspee Days parade. You can check out their full list of events and their respective dates, and be sure to check out any of these amazing events whenever you’re in town.

Farmers Market

Get a taste of proud Warwick’s local, freshly-grown produce at the Goddard Park Farmers Market, happening every Friday from 9AM to 1PM, starting in May till the end of October. Fill up on locally-grown fruits, vegetables, dairy, meat, seafood, and artisanal products that you won’t find anywhere else. There’s nothing quite like having a meal made from fresh produce, one that you can be sure came straight from the farm!

Whether you’re here for a day or a week, time spent in Warwick is always time well spent! Book a slip with us today and experience a side of Warwick, RI, not everyone gets to see.
